News Branding for News Reports - KV News

This is my second lot of news branding for the West and East news reports which we filmed. I chose the name KV News for the same reason as I chose 8 News - I wanted to keep it simple and usable for both sides reports and not just one. I chose 'KV' as I could not think of anything already branded with these 2 letters together and I don't believe they represent anything that anyone would see this and immediately think of. I think the 2 letters fit very well together as the it looks like there are 2 V's within the K and this creates a great shape.

Again I designed a background, a logo and a banner for a news report. I used a dark blue colour for the background with square and circle shapes shining through which looks very futuristic and will suit the style of our story. The bright red and yellow colours on the banner contrast the dark blue background making them stand out which is exactly what we need from a breaking news report.

News Branding for News Reports - 8 News

This is the first lot of news branding I have designed. I decided to use the name '8 News' because its not something I have heard of before and if I just used a number - '8' instead of any words it can be used in either the West or the East news reports and doesn't have to be specific to anything. I chose this number as I felt it could represent a TV channel number rather than giving it a name.

I have designed a logo, a background and a banner to be present during one of the breaking news reports which we filmed. I decided to go with the green colour and the style of a map for the background as I believe this reinforces the idea of a futuristic world but it is still an 'earth' in which people live on.

Behind The Scenes - Live Event: Open Day - 19/03/16

This is another behind the scenes video which I have put together using the videos and photos I took during the day of our Live Event on the university's open day. This was to launch and promote Project Chip and create more awareness of our campaign. This video is for people to have a sneak peek of what we did throughout the day.

Behind The Scenes - Filming Day 3 - 18/03/16

On this day we filmed on location at Zoli's flat and his warehouse/workshop. I took more behind the scenes videos and photographs and edited them into a video. This is so our audience can get a real feel of what it was like working at a real location rather than in the studio.

Behind The Scenes - Filming Day 2 - 15/03/16

This is another video which I have created of including all of my behind the scenes footage I took of this day. On this day we filmed in the studio again but this time with no actors. We each took part in going on camera to do a news report which is a big part of our story. I decided to produce a video again to make the photos and videos more interesting.

Behind The Scenes - Filming Day 1 - 14/03/16

This is a video that I have created, which shows all of the behind the scenes film clips and photos I took on our first day of filming with our actors in the studio. I decided to edit them all together as it will be more appealing for our audience to watch and be able to feel more involved.

These screen shots show the edits of the 4 videos which I have created to show all of my behind the scenes photos and videos. I have added in 4 non-copyright soundtracks to accompany the visuals.

These videos will each be uploaded to social media and our website for our audience to see.

Producer as Production Driver for Filming Day 3

This is a photo of myself, Mercedes, Nadir, Jamie-Lee and Daisy in my car during today's filming. This was taken when we were going from Zoli's flat (our first location) to Zoli's warehouse (our second location).

I made sure to take my car to today's filming, as our locations were in Erith - which I only live 10 minutes away from. By doing this, I was able to collect our actors from the station and a bus stop near to Zoli's flat and drive them back to his house. I also dropped our actors off back to the station or any other place they needed to go at various times as it is a fairly long walk.

As producer of the group, by bringing my car I was definitely able to ensure that all members of cast as well as crew got every where they needed to be without any hassle, and I made sure everyone was happy to attend this filming day knowing I could drive them anywhere locally that they needed to go.

I feel that if I hadn't have brought my car today it would have been a lot harder for our actors to get to the location and back to the station as well as members of our crew, and also saved tremendous amounts of time during the day, which meant we could get every scene finished in the one day.

As producer, I took this responsibility to make everyones day a lot easier and less stressful, as well as make our actors feel a lot more comfortable being driven to places they needed to be instead of having them find their own way.

Also by having my car at the last location it meant I could take all of the filming equipment home with me, to bring back to university tomorrow morning for our open day event. This was the best option as I am also travelling to university tomorrow by car which means no-one had to struggle with equipment.

Printing - Time Slot Sheets for Open Day

This is the first version of the time slot sheet I have designed. It contains the first 4 time slots from 11:00am - 1:00pm. I have 3 copies of this printed as we will have more than 4 spaces in the studio during each time slot. This will be for anyone who is interesting in coming back after a tour or later on in the day for a slot in the studio with our Project Chip group.

This is the second version of the time slot sheet I designed but this one includes the time slots from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Again I have 3 copies of this printed as there are more than 4 spaces per slot in the studio. I also added in columns so that anyone interested can add their name and twitter username so we know who they are when they come back for the studio slot and also we can follow them on twitter to gain an even larger audience on our social media platform.

I had these sheets printed A3 size and I made sure they were printed on a paper which can be written on - which was 170gsm Pulp Board.

Operating The Camera (& Boom Mic) - Filming Day 3

These photos are of me whilst we were planning how to frame the shot as well as me setting up the shot and operating the camera at our first location - Zoli's flat. I was filming a scene including the whole family where they see the breaking news report on the TV.

This is a photo of me whilst I was using the shoulder rig and camera and filming my section of the scenes in the second location - Zoli's warehouse. I filmed our main character Adam 'filming his vlogs' when he arrives at the warehouse after his struggle getting over the border.

Whilst we filmed these last scenes in the warehouse, most people were pre-occupied with a job to do, as I had already done my section of the filming I offered to help Nadir with the sound and operate the boom microphone. Here are some photos of me using the boom mic. As part of the film production team it was great experience to do something else as well as use the camera.

Printing - Visa Postcard for Open Day

Front

This is the final version of the front of the visa postcard, ready for printing. I changed the birth date of Adam Tanner, as I checked the script and he is 31 years old.

Back

This is the final print ready version of the back of the postcard, with the social media and online links.

This has been printed today - it is an A6 double sided postcard printed on 350gsm Digital Board. I had around 200 copies printed.

Printing - Time Slots Poster for Open Day

Today I had the Time Slots Poster for our Open Day event printed in A2. We will be putting this on the wall or on a board at our desk in the reception - helping to create awareness and catch peoples attention for interest in our project. This poster was printed on 170gsm Gloss Paper.
